Skill India and NSDC-affiliated CADD (CAD) Center has launched 12 EV Diploma courses, which provide engineering and non-engineering students with EV Technology, Design, Auxiliary Systems, Production, and Charging Station Infrastructure to Maintenance Service Center. is teaching. These courses are of 60 to 120 hours, in which practical and workshop training will also be given along with Manufacturing Prototype and EV Working Models.
ASDC certified Diyguru.Org is offering many certifications and nano degree courses that can help you to get a job in Electrical Vehicle Industry. Especially its Electric Vehicle Nano Degree Certificate Program is approved by AICTE (Govt. Of India) and it is Online-Offline Mixed Course. In this course, more than 10 live projects of 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler electric vehicles will be done. On completion of the course, certification from ASDC as well as Placement Assistance will be given. This includes B.Tech / B.E. / ITI / Diploma Holder can apply. More people with technical knowledge and automobile experience can apply to this course.
Under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) of DGT, two Electric Vehicle related courses are being started in various ITIs of the country.
(I) The first course is ‘Mechanic Electric Vehicle Technician –
Which is a 2-year NSQF Level – 5 courses. People who are enrolled or passed out in the 12th class or ITI with a 10th class pass can do this course. After this course, people can join the industry as EV Technicians, Senior Technicians.
(ii) The second course is ‘Mechanic Auto & Electronics –
This is a 1-year course of NSQF LEVEL – 4, and 10th class pass can do this course.
After this course, you can join the industry as Auto Service & Maintenance Technician. Theory and practical knowledge will be given in both courses. And upon completion of the course, the candidate gets National Trade Certificate (NTC) from DGT, which is recognized worldwide.
There are other similar institutes and organizations which are offering courses related to Electric vehicles like –
- ISO Certified ‘Advance Electrical Design and Engineering Institute’, located in New Delhi and Kolkata, where two courses related to Electrical Vehicles are offered. One course is 1.5 months of Electric Vehicle Charging Station Design, and the other is Hybrid Vehicle Design & Training.
- Academy of EV Technology is also offering courses related to many Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Assembly Lines. This course is available in the cities of Kolkata, Mumbai, and Kotdwar.
Maharastra’s Raft Motors has taken a very good initiative. This company is giving complete training of Electric Vehicle in 30 days, that too for just Rs 999/-. This course has been started for ITI Passout so that people can become better EV Technicians.
Many more companies in India are also offering new EV courses to meet the shortage of skilled workers in the EV sector like –
- Toyota Free Certificate Course XEV Shiksha
- Companies like Hero Electric and MG Motors are also starting EV-related courses to make ITI pass out efficiently.
Apart from all these courses, there are many such courses that you can learn online from your mobile sitting at home like –
- The ‘Swayam’ portal was released by the Ministry of Education – where the online course on Electric Vehicles and Renewal Energy is being conducted.
- NPTEL funded by this ministry is offering a Diploma course in Electric Vehicle Technology of 20 to 30 hours duration. They have their own YouTube channel named ‘NPTEL-NOC IITM’ – which is giving basic electric vehicle knowledge through free online videos.
Along with all this, there is another organization that is offering very good EV courses – Autobot. There are many courses in which online, as well as offline practical knowledge, is being given. Like 2 Month EV Servicing And Maintenance Course, 5 Month EV Powertrain System, etc.
These were some of the courses that are available to you now. More courses will come in the coming time because at present there is a dearth of courses for the EV industry across the country.
